Looking Glass Lounge

Stopped in for happy hour with an old friend. The place was empty and not too loud. Perfect for catching up. We shared the enormous portion of appetizer nachos, and had some cocktails. Definitely worth it! Service is great. Vibe is chill. They play old school hip hop - the classics! Shortly before we left, the crowd came in for the trivia. So perfect timing for us! A nice neighborhood spot!

I’ve come to The Looking Glass multiple times and have never had an issue until last night (6/24/23). There was a young lady working the downstairs bar and she was generally okay. However, when the night ended and she was not happy with the tip that I left her on my tab, she proceeded to make a scene and call me out for the tip I left her. Granted, I was not a disruptive customer that night nor did my card decline. Look, I understand that being a bartender and server is difficult in this economy, but it was really unprofessional for her to do that when I paid my tab and left a tip. That experience has turned me off and now it’s to a point where I don’t know if I’ll give this bar my business anymore. I will miss Jamie, he is the best bartender there and why this review isn’t a 1-star, but that young lady that worked the downstairs bar last night (6/24/23) has soured my experience and I hope she learns to treat customers better in the future.

I went here with a few friends for a nightcap. The waiter took all of our cards to open a tab for each of us at but at the end of the night, to not complicate things, we decided to just do one bill. Someone else covered the bill yet my card was still charged. No receipt was given because the waiter said he didn’t charge my card, yet the next day, I woke up to a $48 charge on my charge. Don’t recommend this place.

I've been going here since 2015, but man, I don't think I can go back anymore. Service is slow and just... Mean. Food delivery is even slower. We ordered 3 tacos and they just gave us 2 because "they ran out of tacos" but neglected to tell us until we asked why we were missing a taco. After they said they would comp the meal, they didn't. I love Wonderland and Dew Drop but Looking Glass does not have it together. What a bummer for Park View.
